RTD hosts community event for Respect the Ride Guide

On Saturday, April 29, customers and community members met at the Chestnut Pavilion at Denver Union Station to learn more about RTD’s ongoing Respect the Ride campaign and offer feedback on the proposed changes to the Customer Code of Conduct. Attendees heard remarks from RTD General Manager and CEO Debra A. Johnson and RTD Chief of Police and Emergency Management Dr. Joel Fitzgerald, Sr. about how the agency is working to promote a safe transit environment. Staff representing many areas of the agency, including Bus and Rail Operations, Communications, Transit Police and Planning, were on-site to listen to customer feedback and answer questions.

RTD staff have been working to revise the agency’s Customer Code of Conduct to eliminate redundancies, simplify the existing guidelines and emphasize respect for other customers and RTD’s vehicles, facilities and employees.

Customers are encouraged to review the proposed changes, and submit feedback via an online survey, by visiting 8kr.1e1v.com/respect-the-ride by June 2. The RTD Board of Directors will review comments and take a formal board action during its June 27 meeting.
